EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Store tomatoes at room temp--not in the fridge. Cold temps turn the tomato flesh pulpy and destroy the flavor.

Mix things up, and try making this sandwich with sliced smoked turkey, ranch dressing and sliced Cheddar cheese.

This is fantastic. Made this, along with some home made potato chips, and took them to an outdoor movie in the park. Everyone was walking by asking where we bought it. The bread is simply delicious. Instead of cutting the little 'V' you could also just cut several slits in the dough with a sharp knife. Not a pretty but just as effective. And, like others say, you can make any type of sandwich on this bread. Meatball subs are really good, the bread soaks up the sauce.

Great, easy, tasty homemade sandwich. Love that the bread isn't so thick, like some store bought sub sandwiches! Very pretty to take to holiday parties and possibilities are endless with the toppings.

Great sandwich and easy to make. For those who found the direction regarding the "v cuts" confusing, take a look at the picture of the sandwich ring. The pice in the bottom right corner shows the "v cut" on the top of the sandwich. It's just a slight cut to vent while baking.
