Any olive tapenade, drained, can be substituted for the chopped olives for a great flavor combination.

I really wanted this to work but I could not unroll the dough and ended up throwing two cans worth away and having to go to the store and get bread to proceed with dinner :(

Hi SDcook...The dough will be much easier to work with if you spray the surface and also the dough lightly with some cooking spray. I like to use the butter flavor cooking spray. But with this recipe, since it is Italian I use the Olive Oil cooking spray. It gives the bread a little flavor and also keeps the raw dough from sticking to the work surface. I also spray my panini machine (both sides) before I place the bread on it. Don't over-do with the spray. Just spray lightly. Also, after the bread dough is removed from the package, it will thaw very quickly. So try to cut it and spray it with

The flavors are very good, but working with the bread was very difficult. It stuck together and was very difficult to get the edges even/flattened. Does anyone have any suggestions for ease of removing it from the board it is layed on to open up or making it easier to work with?

I meant I'd like to try the prosciutto with or instead of the salami. Sorry about that.

I'd like to try some prosciutto with or instead of the beef for something a little different.
