Pillsbury™ earns GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® title for "most cookies/biscuits iced in one hour" in celebration of first-ever National Cookie Decorating Day.

If anyone could do it, it’s the Doughboy! On Dec. 12, 2015, Pillsbury broke the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® Title at Mall of America® for the “most cookies/biscuits iced in one hour,” icing a whopping 1,169 cookies—making cookie-decorating history, along with creating some lasting holiday memories.

Cookie Decorating Party

During one of the busiest shopping days of the year, Pillsbury™ encouraged mall-goers to put down their shopping lists and participate in a holiday tradition – decorating cookies. The hands-on fun started in the morning at the Pillsbury Cookie Day Decorating Party, where families of cookie fans joined the Doughboy and his friends to decorate festive Santa Hat Cookies and Cute Reindeer Cookies.

Thanks to all this practice, this year Santa will have his pick of the cutest cookie plates yet!

Guinness World Record Attempt

After the party, it was time to get down to business and make world cookie decorating history! The record-breaking feat was held in celebration of the first ever National Cookie Decorating Day – which Pillsbury plans to honor annually on the second Saturday in December, as a day designated for families to get into the holiday spirit decorating cookies together. Over the course of just one hour, Mall of America visitors frosted 1,169 Pillsbury ready to bake cookies to set a new world record. That’s more than double the original goal of 500!

Celebrate National Cookie Decorating Day in your own home with the recipes from the Doughboy’s cookie-decorating party!
